Rufus
Client: Rufus, Year: 2025
An AI-powered resume database. From a dormant CV repository to a minimal SaaS product that recruiters pay for on demand. As the sole designer, I shipped the product in one month, from initial concept to website launch.
(01) Overview
Context and my role
The founders of Rufus run a tech recruitment agency, built on a large CV database continuously enriched by their recruiters. The idea: sell access to the database rather than consultant time. A self-service CV library. My mission: design the tool end-to-end, from the website to the product. Sole designer, working closely with the developer and the founders.

(02) Discovery
Trust, not technology
We started with a CV database that the agency continuously enriches and updates. The discovery phase was not about what to build, but under what conditions a recruiter would return and pay. Two framing workshops with the founders, then an in-depth analysis of the target users. One constant emerged: no one spends a credit on a profile they can't judge first. What the product must create above all is trust.

(03) The solution
Show before charging
The answer: make enough value visible to convince before any payment. Each profile exists in two states, limited then enriched. The recruiter judges based on what’s shown, then unlocks more. The entire journey, from the site to first contact, is built to establish this trust step by step. The screens below show the product at each key moment.

(04) Conversion
Convert through proof
The funnel starts on the site, not behind a sign-up wall. Visitors test the product first: a profile search bar right on the homepage. They run a query, see real limited profiles, click to open one. Only then are they invited to create an account. They’ve seen proof, so they want to sign up. Conversion comes from proof, not promise.
